The Passionate, Moving festival

This summer festival has different events on each of the 3 days, so you can enjoy it every time you come. Niagari-Odori Dance is a traditional performance art, and an ntangible folk cultural asset of Hiroshima. The dancers perform their routine while shaking yotsutake castanets, to the rhythm played by the shamisen, kokyu, and shakuhachi.

Viewers of Irohamaru YOSAKOI can enjoy the passionate dancing of performers dressed in bright, colorful clothing. To watch the Ashida river fireworks, everyone will sit down along the banks of Ashidagawa river; at this event you can see 16,000 fireworks up close, and it features the single largest aquatic starmine firework in western Japan!
