For those who want to enjoy Miyajima in the night, we recommend the JR ferry that runs until late!
The key to comparing the two companies is the difference in the route they take. For JR, the ferries running between 9:10 and 16:10 pass by the Ōtorii of Itsukushima shrine. Perfect for those who want to take photos from the ferry!
On the other hand, Matsudai Kisen goes straight to the landing pier. They also run more frequently than JR. If you don’t want to wait in the line to get on the ferry, you may want to take Matsudai Kisen.
Let’s Hop On!
